MATT'S BIO

Matt Purlee was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on August 6, 1995 to the proud parents of Gary and Jan Purlee. From a very young age Matt was really into rock music and wanted to follow in his older sister’s musical footsteps. When he was only six years old Matt began playing guitar in a “rock school” band at Mom’s Music. But after his sister quit her lessons, Matt did too.

When Matt was twelve, a few guys in his neighborhood decided to start a rock band and he resumed his bass guitar lessons. Matt continued his devotion to guitar and within the next three years he started playing in a band. Their first show was a performance in front of 150 fellow students at Christian Academy in New Albany, Indiana. From that moment on Matt knew that he wanted to play some serious music in a rock band. Shortly thereafter, Matt started a band called “Revelation.” Unfortunately, Revelation did not work out and about a year he and his best friend, Skyler Jones, formed the rock band called Lizzyz Revenge. At the start of 2012 the band changed their name to Beyond Doubt.

MATT'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Has received A's and B's throughout his academic life

Reached Eagle Scout at the age of 14
Played bass live in front of his entire middle school.

A very active member in his church, school, and troop. (and no he’s not a goody two shoes !)
