Born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1997, Dustin Goodwin has music in his bones.  He started playing guitar at an early age, eventually learning bass and even drums.  He takes inspiration from Dave Grohl and Zack Wylde as he expertly wields his guitar into the soundscape of each song.  With a keen ability to write and transpose music, Dustin is just as talented off stage as he is at live shows.

Dustin began his career with the band Alison's Escape, who's lead singer is the one, the only, Alison Nelson.  Alison's Escape brought their rock style to venues like Hard Rock Cafe, Phoenix Hill, and the Cherokee Park Hello Summer Festival.  In January 2012, Alison's Escape shared the stage with Beyond Doubt at the Vernon Club.  Alison Nelson sang for both bands and introductions were made, but it wasn't until later that year that Dustin would get his first opportunity to play with Beyond Doubt.

In the summer of 2012, Beyond Doubt were in the market for a substitute bass player.  They immediately thought of Dustin.  After quickly learning all of Beyond Doubt's songs and playing several gigs, Dustin became a permanent member of the band.  With their new lineup in place, Beyond Doubt has went on to win “Fan Favorite” at the Namm Schooljam Finals, release their self-titled EP, and perform in a coveted spot on the Vans Warped Tour.
